Prabhjot Punnia is the founder and managing lawyer of Summit Point Law based in Edmonton. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta and was called to the Alberta Bar following her clerkship with the Court of Appeal of Alberta and articles with the Department of Justice Canada. Prior to entering private practice, she served a legal counsel with the Department of Justice Canada, representing federal Ministers and government entities before the Federal Court and courts throughout Alberta.
Throughout her career, Prabhjot has been passionate about public service, access to justice, and supporting diverse communities. She brings experience in advocacy, governance, strategic decision-making, and community engagement to her work. Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, she is committed to helping individuals and families navigate complex systems and access meaningful opportunities.
As a member of the Board, Prabhjot is honoured to support the Newcomer Centre’s mission of empowering newcomers to build successful and fulfilling lives in Canada. She believes that strong communities are built through inclusion, opportunity, and a shared commitment to helping others thrive.
