“I give to ensure programs for language learning, settlement services, and immigrant community development are available to as many newcomers as possible.
I give to ensure that specialized support programs for immigrant women, youth, and families have the capacity to address challenges and create hope and stability.
I give because I want newcomers today to have what we didn’t – the guidance and resources that ease the path to belonging. Each time I donate, I think of my parents, who worked so hard and became proud Canadians, instilling in us the values of community, resilience, and giving back. Like so many newcomers, they didn’t leave their home because they wanted to; they left to find safety, stability, and a better life for their family.”
